SCSS: Benefits and Risks of Cloud Computing

Information technology and security have always had to adapt to advances and changes in technology. The cloud computing environment has been particularly volatile, subject to changes in services, the introduction of new services, and the elimination of services. Although some best practices for cloud computing will stand the test of time, implementation details and updates will be required to reduce risk and ensure the proper evaluation of services and vendors. This talk will focus on best practices developed by the SEI in recent years. It will address how to translate high-level practices into details that can be implemented and also how to adapt those practices to changes in cloud computing.
